Please Join Me in Bringing Summer Camp to Children with Cancer!
Help me bring the magic of summer back to children with cancer and their siblings by supporting Sunrise Day Camp Greater Philadelphia! On Sunday, June 9, 2024, we're coming together at the Kaiserman JCC for the annual SunriseWALKS event.
On Sunday, June 9, 2024, I am taking part in SunriseWALKS Greater Philadelphia, an annual walkathon devoted to raising vital funds and awareness for Sunrise Day Camp Greater Philadelphia. This isn't just any camp; it's the world's first full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, provided entirely free of charge.
Why Your Support Matters: Sunrise Day Camp, along with its Year-Round Programming and In-Hospital Recreational Activities, brings back the simple joys of childhood to hundreds of children affected by pediatric cancer. Notes: Walk check-in begins at 9. There will be some remarks followed by the walk at 10:15 around the Kaiserman property (under 1 mile). Strollers are welcome. After the walk there will be a party / carnival at the finish. The Union Soccer league will be there with huge inflatables and hosting games with the kids. There will be a DJ, Face paint, Water Ice, Bagels, refreshments, and t-shirts. Most people will leave between 11:30-12pm. Parking directors will be present at the JCC.
